Hydraulic Engineering
TOPOGRAPHY, GEOLOGY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING
IDRAN conducts topographic/bathymetric surveys and geotechnical investigations to study the morphology and geological-geotechnical characteristics of fluvial and maritime-coastal domains. It also designs and implements systems for hydraulic and environmental monitoring.
IDRAN’s instruments and technologies represent state-of-the-art solutions for territorial and environmental investigations, utilizing field survey tools (GPS, laser scanners) and remote sensing technologies (drones, LiDAR, and satellite systems).
The IDRAN team includes experts in geology, geomorphology, and geomatics who specialize in survey design and data processing for the development of Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and Digital Surface Models (DSM). The team remains continuously updated through applied research and professional advancements in Earth Observation and Remote Sensing.
RIVER AND COASTAL HYDRAULIC STUDIES
Disciplines such as geomorphology, hydrology, hydrogeology, and hydraulics explore the morphology, geological-structural characterization, and physical dynamics governing the distribution and movement of water in the atmosphere, on the earth’s surface (soil and subsurface), and within fluvial (natural and artificial hydrographic networks) and maritime-coastal systems (ports, terminals, inshore, and offshore areas).
IDRAN employs experts in water science studies and analyses, developing advanced hydraulic studies by leveraging specialized expertise, numerical models, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to model the physical processes of riverine and maritime-coastal systems (main waterways, secondary basins, port areas, terminals, and coastal storage facilities).
HYDRAULIC AND MARITIME WORKS
DESIGN OF HYDRAULIC AND MARITIME WORKS
IDRAN offers engineering services for the design of hydraulic and maritime works, focusing on:
- Water resource management and distribution systems (aqueducts and sewers, urban developments, treatment plants).
- Hydrogeological risk mitigation interventions (levees, flood retention basins, river restorations).
- Port works, basins, and coastal terminals and storage facilities.
IDRAN’s tools and technologies represent cutting-edge solutions to support project design, from optimal site selection (feasibility studies and due diligence) to executive planning.
IDRAN assists public and private clients in the design and technical-economic assessment of projects for the construction and maintenance of hydraulic and maritime works, involving a team of experts with extensive professional experience.
CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION
IDRAN provides technical assistance throughout all phases of project implementation, starting from pre-tender activities, searching for and selecting specialized companies, to the supervision and coordination of works for project execution.
IDRAN staff specialize in complex works within fluvial and maritime-coastal environments.
